Supply Chain Transparency: Why it Matters and Who Leads?
Supply chain transparency is the disclosure of provenance, sustainability, and product-related information to consumers, governments, NGOs, and others. However, only disclosing this information is not enough for brands and retailers to take responsibility for the whole supply chain. For this, it is required to verify the disclosed information through recording, retrieving, and tracing in a documented form, which is referred to as supply chain traceability.
